Industrial Product Design (IPO) is a Bachelor's Programme at Howest University of Applied Sciences. We are located in Kortrijk, Belgium's UNESCO City of Design.

 

Our ambition is to teach our students to design the right things right. We aim to prepare our students for the real world by:

• training a lot of hands-on prototyping techniques to get a realistic view on a concept or product.

• offering students real-life cases with clients and industry

• stimulating entrepreneurship and start-ups

• making each student a co-owner of their education program

Our habitat is the Industrial Design Center (IDC) which is our open knowledge center where industry, research and education meet, make and co-create.

As a student, company, designer or school you can make use of our fields of expertise in design methodology & applied creativity, prototyping, technology & materialization and human & sustainability driven innovation. Please look under RESEARCH and SERVICES. if you are looking for a spot-on workspace with extensive facilities, you can also enter into a membership with our IDC-factory.
