RE-f-USE LAB
“Starting up circular production lines within social labor companies
in co-creation with design students.”
Social labor companies are to some extent dependent on industrial assignments, but they have a flexible production approach. Let that be their strength to process technically high-quality, industrial, post-production residual streams into new semi-finished products or product components. Allowing for profitable loops supporting a circular economy.
The objective is creating new opportunities for social labor companies to set up flexible production lines allowing them to process inhouse residual streams.
The industrial product design course (IPO) at Howest assists in the choice of residual streams, creative processing, the design of adapted tooling and exploration of the sales market.
