The Bachelor of Industrial Product Design (IPO) at Howest has been named the best Industrial Design School in the world during the prestigious The Rookies Awards. This recognition stems from the strong work submitted by IPO students, upon which an expert jury selected the best school.The Product & Industrial Design category of The Rookies highlights the innovative world of product and industrial design, where creativity meets functionality. The jury evaluated student portfolios on creative skills, technical proficiency, presentation quality, diversity of skills, project complexity, talent, and employment potential .
Seven IPO students made it to the finals, with Michiel Meersseman and Kamiel Pattyn recognized as "Highly Commended Rookies of the Year."
These prestigious honors reaffirm Howest's position as a leading university of applied sciences in Kortrijk, known for its innovative and internationally acclaimed bachelor’s programs. In addition to IPO, Howest's Digital Arts & Entertainment (DAE) excelled with gold in Mobile Games and silver in Game Design. With programs such as Devine (Digital Design & Development) and the new bachelor Built Environment, Howest showcases the diversity and quality of its higher education offerings.
